Force Sensor Internal Structure

Sinocera Piezotronics, INC | Updated: Aug 10, 2017

Force Sensor Internal structure

The force sensor is based on the principle of the load cell, using two forces to transmit the local force, the internal structure has one of the force sensitives fixed, the sheet of gasket on the side in the center of the film, the substrate is located in the other Side and edge force between the local and close to the film.

According to the different strength and size of the design of the appearance of different force sensors, S-type force sensor, the plate ring force sensor and so on. S-type force sensor is the most common sensor in a sensor, most of which is used to measure the force between the solid and force, is also commonly known as the force sensor, because it looks like S shape, so it is customary Called the S-type force sensor, the advantage is easy to install, easy to use, suitable for hanging scales, batching scales, machine scales and other electronic force measurement system. Plate ring sensor is also the name of the name of the name, and its advantages are more suitable Large range, harsh conditions of work, frequency response characteristics, and many are used in building materials, cement, chemicals, lifting, lifting industry.

Force sensor classification is more, there are similar to the helix external spiral column force sensor, hook scale sensor, etc., but also the use of a principle, force to produce deformation, so that the physical signal into electrical signals. Due to the measurement of the power of more forms, and in order to be more convenient to measure the size of the force,

The correct installation position of the force sensor on the process piping is related to the measured medium. For the best possible measurement, consider the following:

1. When measuring steam or other high temperature medium, connect a condenser such as a buffer tube (coil), etc., so that the operating temperature of the transmitter should not exceed the limit.

2. When measuring fluid force, the nozzle should be opened on the side of the process piping to avoid sedimentation.

3. The catheter should be installed where the temperature fluctuates small.

4. When measuring gas force, the nozzle should be opened at the top of the process piping and the transmitter should be installed in the upper part of the process piping so that the accumulated liquid is easily injected into the process piping.

5. To prevent the sediment in the catheter deposition.

6. When measuring fluid force, the force sensor should be installed in a position to avoid the impact of the liquid (water hammer phenomenon), so as not to damage the sensor.

7. When freezing occurs in winter, according to the force sensor installed in the outdoor must take anti-freeze measures to avoid the liquid within the lead due to ice volume expansion, leading to damage to the sensor.

8. Prevent force sensors from contacting corrosive or overheated media.

9. When wiring, route the cable through the waterproof connector (accessory) or the duct and tighten the seal nut to prevent rain and water from penetrating through the cable into the sensor housing.
