Resistance strain type

Resistance strain gauges are mainly metal and semiconductor two types of metal strain gauge with wire, foil, thin film of the points. Semiconductor strain gauges have the advantages of high sensitivity (usually silk, foil several times), lateral effects and so on.


Piezoresistive sensor is based on the piezoresistive effect of semiconductor materials in the semiconductor material on the substrate by the diffusion resistance of the device made of. The substrate can be directly measured as a sensing element, the diffusion resistance in the substrate into the bridge form. When the substrate is subjected to external forces to produce deformation, the resistance value will change, the bridge will produce a corresponding unbalanced output.

The silicon piezoresistive sensor made of silicon substrate and silicon wafer as the sensitive material is mainly paid attention to by the substrate (or diaphragm) material used as the piezoresistive sensor. Especially, the pressure And the speed of solid-state piezoresistive sensor applications is most common.
